A Free Evening of Books, Conversation, and Connection!
Charleston Literary Festival is partnering with Reading Rhythms to bring you Charleston’s first community-wide silent reading party in Marion Square!
In our hyper-digital world that can feel devoid of meaningful connection, this special evening is designed to bring readers together to enjoy a quiet, curated time to read in Marion Square and engage in small-group guided conversation with fellow book lovers. Take time to slow down, unplug, and enjoy the magic of gathering together to read. Join us as we celebrate the start of the Charleston Lit Fest season by coming together in community for a silent reading party.
Please arrive at 6pm to set up your picnic blanket and get settled. (Feel free to bring picnic items with you, but be aware that alcohol is not permitted in Charleston parks.) Books open at 6:30pm and we’ll wrap up by 7:30pm.

Enter for a chance to meet the one and only Reese Witherspoon and award-winning thriller writer Harlan Coben on August 21st at 7 p.m. at a Pre-Charleston Literary Festival event presented with Charleston Gaillard Center.
