About Event

Introduction

Join us for an exciting promotion seminar "Embark on an Academic Adventure at Nagoya University!" hosted by the Nagoya University Cambodia Center and Asia Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI), in collaboration with the Global Engagement Center (GEC) of the Global Multi-Campus Institute (GMC), Graduate School of Law (GSL), and Graduate School of International Development (GSID). This event is your gateway to discovering Nagoya University’s international programs tailored specifically for Cambodian students and researchers.

Nagoya University is a comprehensive research university and a leading national university in the innovation hub of central Japan, a region known for its manufacturing and industry. Originating from a medical school and public hospital established in 1871, Nagoya University was founded in 1939. Over the years, Nagoya University has fostered an open and collaborative culture enabling scholarship across disciplinary boundaries. This liberal environment played a crucial part in the success of the six faculty members honored with Nobel Prizes. Today, as one of the world’s leading research universities, Nagoya University is dedicated to improving our education and research capabilities and contributing to a better world by addressing global challenges.

The seminar will spotlight two exceptional international programs:

11:30 – 11:40: Admission at G30 International Programs (Ms. SAKAGUCHI Ilona Talvikki, Lecturer (GEC))

11:40 – 11:50: Writing a Research Proposal for ASCI: Legal Science Perspective (Dr. UMIRDINOV Alisher, Professor (GSL))

11:50 – 12:00: What is Academic Research? Preparing for the ASCI-GSID Doctoral Program (Dr. IGA Tsukasa, Associate Professor (ASCI))

12:00 – 12:30: Q&A

12:30 – 12:35: Closing
