TeamFirst Special Gathering

​We’re gathering a small, special group for a TeamFirst Saturday afternoon celebration — to cheer on our friend Alex Ma, who’s heading from Tokyo to SF to join the OpenAI ChatGPT team.

​Alex has worn many hats — founder, operator, and investor. He built Poparazzi, the photo-sharing app that hit #1 on the App Store with 10M+ downloads and $22M raised from Benchmark, Floodgate, and others. His team later joined Meta, where he led Instagram Labs Tokyo, and he’s since been backing early-stage founders through Accel and Abstract, investing in 25+ startups across consumer, AI, and enterprise.

​This isn’t a goodbye — just a good excuse to hang out, share stories, and celebrate a friend stepping into one of the most exciting frontiers in tech. Expect familiar faces, good vibes, and plenty of snacks and drinks.
