Design Thinking with Daniel Howell
Join ARt deCentrále and Startup Junkie for an evening with Arkansan artist Daniel Howell, a painter who also builds products for a living.
Daniel is an Innovation Strategist, Product Design & Development Leader, and Fine Arts Entrepreneur. By day, he is SVP of Product Innovation for a local manufacturing company; before that, he was Director of Innovation at a major retailer. In the studio, he paints impressionist scenes of the Ozarks: cyclists on the Greenway at sunset, landmarks we all know, and now and then a giant monster wandering through downtown Bentonville. His work starts with real places and adds a touch of the surreal, pulling you into his Ozark daydreams.
Both careers run on the same habit: noticing what other people walk past. In this talk, Daniel will share how design thinking moves between the canvas and the boardroom: how an artist’s eye leads to better products, and how a product mindset shapes a creative practice.
What to expect:
• Exhibition of original works, plus limited edition collectible canvas reproductions. All works are available for purchase.
• Artist talk + open conversation on creativity and design thinking
• Complimentary beverages & hors d’oeuvres
Who it’s for: Art collectors, founders, product and design leaders, artists and anyone curious about where creativity meets business.
