Workshops for the Planet @ London Climate Action Week
This year, LCAW asks: how do we cooperate on climate in a fragmented world?
One answer is to start with shared understanding. Join us for a day of participatory workshops that build exactly that.
Our workshops are open to everyone, from sustainability professionals to curious newcomers.
Agenda
You're welcome for the morning workshop, the afternoon one, or the full day.
8:30–8:45 — Check-in & welcome
8:45–9:00 — Opening round
9:00–12:00 — Morning workshops (choose one)
Adapting to Climate Change — Assess climate risks, weigh adaptation options, and turn concern into a plan.
Agri'food Collage — Map the pressures on our global food system and reimagine what a different system could look like.
Climate Fresk — Piece together the causes and consequences of climate change using IPCC science and figure out where to pull the levers.
Planetary Boundaries Fresco — Explore all nine boundaries that define a safe operating space for humanity and identify where the strongest opportunities for transformation lie.
12:00–13:00 — Lunch (bring your own or explore nearby cafés)
13:00–16:00 — Afternoon workshops (choose one)
Biodiversity Collage — Trace the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss using IPBES science, then collectively build an action plan to address it.
Circular Economy Collage — Examine the linear economy's true cost and design a circular alternative.
Energy Collage — Get to grips with today's energy system: sources, flows, trade-offs; and form your own view on the energy transition.
Living Soils — Discover how soils function, how agricultural practices affect them, and what collective choices can change the picture.
Mapping Gender Equality — Unravel the mechanics of sexism, trace the vicious cycle of gender inequality, and collectively imagine what an equal society looks like.
16:00–16:30 — Closing round
