BioPharma Networking Hike: Tiled Steps (Golden Gate Heights & Forest Hill)

​Enjoy colorful mosaic tiled stairways, Green Hairstreak butterfly habitat + views of the across San Francisco & the sea while networking in former hilltop sand dunes.

After the hike (~1:30pm), we’ll head to the Inner Sunset (9th & Irving) to pick up snacks/drinks and head to Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse/bandshell to enjoy. Anyone looking to extend there time in SF can visit the de Young fine art museums (Free Saturday for Bay Area residents).

​Parking = Street Parking along Kirkham & Avenues (between 14th - 18th Ave) [Remember to curb your wheels if parked on a hill & don't leave valuables visible]

​Public Transportation = Muni# 66 (350 ft) N (0.1 mi), 28 (0.3 mi), 6, 43, 44 (0.4 mi), 7 (0.5 mi)

​Terrain = Steep, but Moderate (mostly paved w/ some dirt paths).

​— 863 ft elevation gain & 1401 stairs traversed.

​— 2 hr/3.75 mile hike. OK to do in sneakers; We will keep a slower pace to catch our breath after stair climbs to take in the views & tiled stairways)

​Facilities = No Restrooms along route. Water available at Golden Gate Heights Park (mid-point).

​Misc = Dogs are allowed & cell reception is good.
