Recoding Medicine: Stockholm Matchmaking Afternoon
Welcome to a curated afternoon for Health dataset holders to meet AI research teams and expertise, for SPRIND's Recoding Medicine Challenge!
This is the third and final event in the series after Berlin and Paris. Over 120 profiles are already on the platform, from data holders and research teams across Europe.
Hosted by Vinnova, Foresight Institute, and SPRIND.
SPRIND is Germany's Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation. It funds high-risk research through open challenges.
Vinnova is Sweden's government innovation agency. It funds collaborative R&D between companies, universities, and public bodies.
Foresight Institute is a San Francisco nonprofit founded in 1986. It advances research in AI safety and biotechnology, and built the matchmaking platform for this event series.
Schedule
15:00 Arrive. Fika.
15:40 Intros (30 min). Foresight on the matchmaking. SPRIND on the challenge model. Vinnova on their aims.
16:10 Open mic (30 min). One minute each: what you hold, what you need, who you want to meet.
16:40–18:00 Matching and networking.
Who should attend
Startups & researchers in AI/ML who want real biomedical data to test on.
Data holders: hospitals, biobanks, registries, patient groups, companies. Data doesn't need to be clean or ready.
Experts: clinicians, epidemiologists, biologists, to sanity-check proposed matches.
Governance & legal: data protection, access agreements, ethics. This is usually the actual blocker.
No finished project required. A method or a question is enough.
Before you arrive: create a profile at foresightmatchmaker.app.
Describe what you hold or what you need. You get a ranked shortlist, never automatic matching. Nothing moves without your say-so.
Can't attend in person? Create a profile anyway. Matching continues after the event.
Application deadline is October 16th.
The platform and event series are operated by the Foresight Institute.
