Planting Event @ Cardinal Conservancy
Join Give Back Cincinnati for a morning outdoors at Bortz Family Nature Preserve!
We’ll be helping plant 100 native shrubs on a hillside that was recently cleared of invasive honeysuckle. This project will help restore the area, increase plant diversity, and create more habitat and food for migratory birds. Bortz is already a birding hotspot, so our work will help make the preserve even better for the wildlife that calls it home!
What we’ll be doing:
🌱 Planting native shrubs
🌿 Helping restore a recently cleared hillside
🐦 Supporting local bird and wildlife habitat
What to wear:
Please wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes since we’ll be working on a hillside and carrying plants through natural areas. Long pants and sleeves are also recommended.
Come ready to get a little dirty, meet some fellow Give Backers, and leave Bortz a little greener than we found it!
