🌟 Visionary Crossings is back at CIC One Broadway!

Join us for an evening of talks, drinks, and dialogue on how creative practice can surface the stories, needs, and impacts that drive scientific innovation.

CIC has transformed a 4th floor hallway into a full gallery featuring, celebrating the artists, staff, and residents who've been using creative work to push innovation forward. Come for the art reveal, stay for the conversations about how creative practice can uncover the human stories behind scientific breakthroughs.

Featured panelists from the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, Shazia Mir, Tricia Bitetto, Stacey Messier and Anupallavi Sinha, will share insights on bringing art, social impact, and human experience into the innovation process, offering new ways to highlight the voices and perspectives that give discovery its broader meaning.

Panelists
Shazia Mir is LabCentral's Community & Social Impact Strategist. In this role, she organizes and executes community programming and alumni-focused expert panels, serving as the interface between residents, alumni and visitors as part of the community development team. She is an ambassador of LabCentral's culture and leads community-building initiatives, working closely with residents and alumni to foster a collaborative network and create an environment where spontaneous collisions can occur. This includes coordinating meaningful outreach opportunities with high social impact for residents at community organizations around the Kendal Square hub. Additionally, Shazia is the curator and manager of Gallery 1832, LabCentral's in-house art gallery with a rotating exhibit of local artists, offering beautiful and provocative work to spark curiosity, raise societal understanding and spark dialogue.

Anupallavi Sinha is an artist, entrepreneur, curator, and R&D leader driving health innovation at the intersection of science, technology, culture, and creativity. She is the founder of Nucarta, a racial health equity and art-focused startup that creates actionable, community-driven platforms to amplify voices and opportunities for the global majority. In industry, Anu leads cross-disciplinary initiatives in AI research, digital health, and biotechnology, transforming complex challenges into clear, impactful solutions. An equity-focused health strategist, she has contributed to public health initiatives during her Master’s at Boston University and qualitative research at Harvard Medical School. By bridging visual art, health research, and scientific innovation, Anu fosters creative, inclusive pathways for meaningful societal impact.

Stacey Messier is the General Manager for CIC New England, running the Boston, Cambridge, and Providence innovation campuses. She’s a fierce advocate for the intersection of innovation and community. Prior to working in the community-building space, Stacey ran customer experience teams for online education, insurance, and music software. Outside of the traditional day-job sphere, Stacey is a practicing artist specializing in geometric abstract paintings that are inspired by found phrases and quotations. She was recently a finalist for a state-funded public art opportunity at Rhode Island College and is presently working on a new series called Paper Ships.
