Future on the Table: ASEAN’s Leadership in Climate-Smart Agriculture Toward COP30
Southeast Asia stands at a pivotal moment in the global effort to transform food systems. The region is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, yet also holds enormous potential to lead the shift toward climate-smart, resilient, and nutrition-sensitive agriculture. Among its agricultural priorities, rice remains central—deeply embedded in culture, livelihoods, and food security, while also being a key source of emissions and a focus of mitigation opportunities.
With COP30 on the horizon and the Global Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) Conference approaching as a milestone event, this session offers a timely platform to shape ASEAN’s voice and priorities. Instead of relying on a traditional panel format, the session uses a reverse panel and co-creation process to identify key policy and investment messages that can be carried forward into global fora.
