Kids' Art for Physics App
Calling all artists (ages 11-14) to join us for a co-design session where you'll draw some objects to be used in an educational app for teaching intuitive physics!
The app is part of a research project lead by Dr. Hari Subramonyam - an Assistant Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Education and a Faculty Fellow at Stanford's Institute for Human-Centered AI.
In this 90 minute workshop at the Cupertino Library (Room 201B), you'll be invited to draw 5-10 simple objects such as airplane, rocket, hot air balloon, etc.
We will later turn these drawings into interactive elements in an intuitive physics app! You'll receive:
⚛️ A Young Artist Certificate from the research team
⚛️ Early access to the app
⚛️ Invitation to participate in research based on the app (optional)
Your workshop facilitator will be Dr. Sonia Tiwari, Director of Research at Oki Pie Lab.
Art supplies will be provided.
Join us for a creative evening of drawing together and contribute to the future of science education!
