Tonight we celebrate our summer season of Yoga of the Voice with a special 2 hour voice and dance journey. We'll begin with a meditative vocal journey to charge up our energy centers and build our resonant frequency. We'll sing timeless melodies and affirmative phrases to inspire our gratitude for the season.
Priya Deepika will guide you through a yogic Vocal activation, open your heart and get into your body. Following our vocal practice, we'll be guided into a dance journey to inspire your body and soul

Deepen into the key pillars of Yoga of the Voice as they become integrated as a regular devotional practice . Whether you are a seasoned Yogi, singer or musician, We will explore deep listening, breath practices, and expand our body awareness as we sing and explore various tones, melodies and song writing.
Our practice builds on the foundation of raaga, melodic scales from ancient musical cultures of the Indian Subcontinent, radiating with color, tone and feeling to the music we create. We will be working with specific themes of the season as we explore governing elements in nature and raagas that capture the essence of the season.

For Yoga teachers who strive to honor the roots of Yoga, this class is grounded in the cultural roots of Indian Classical Music, Naada Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. We integrate all aspects of Ashtanga Yoga, the 8 limbs of Yoga.
About Priya Deepika:
Priya is the daughter of immigrant parents from Andhra Pradesh, South India. Priya is steeped in her cultural and spiritual lineage of her ancestors and has paved her own path of service, devotion and creativity. After a career in Human Rights Immigration law, Priya shifted her focus into the healing arts. She comes to you as a Yogi, Vocal Embodiment Coach and Mediator, choosing Yoga and Music as her modalities of bringing relief, joy and light to the world. She is a trained and certified Yoga of the Voice instructor for 10 years and trained and certified Sound Healer for 17 years. Priya has been on the Yoga path for over 25 years. She is 200RYT (registered yoga teacher) and recently completed her 500 hr yoga teacher training. Priya released her first album Hear in My Heart in 2019, of which "I Am Divine" has defined her sound of devotional healing music for meditation and yoga.
