​We're meeting at La Mesa Tasting Room on Main Street in Sutter Creek, a family-run Amador County winery in the heart of historic downtown. Grab a glass, find a seat, and connect with the people building the next wave of companies in our region.

​John is building modular, relocatable bioenergy systems that turn forest waste into clean, low-carbon fuel while cutting wildfire risk and emissions across California. He has spent his career in sales and venture building, has worked alongside and mentored founders throughout the region, and knows the Sierra startup community firsthand. Come hear what he has learned building a hardware startup in the foothills, then stick around to talk shop.
