​Security, Decentralized Finance and the next DeFi Reset

Recent DeFi exploits have made one thing clear: the next security frontier is not only in smart contract code.

Over the past few months, several major incidents have exposed a broader category of failures across cross-chain infrastructure, bridge verification, RPC dependencies, governance design, monitoring systems, operational security, and emergency response coordination. In many cases, the transactions themselves appeared fully valid on-chain.

This meetup will focus on what needs to change structurally across DeFi, discuss security beyond code, and the growing tension between decentralization and fast crisis intervention.

The session will also discuss the DeFi United initiative as a possible coordination layer for protocols and other ecosystem participants working toward stronger shared standards.
