Welcome to Beyond the Game!

KTH Innovation and RISE/Sweden AI Factory are joining forces to explore how gaming and game development can drive innovation beyond entertainment.

Sweden is one of the world’s leading gaming nations, with global successes like Minecraft, Battlefield and Candy Crush. This has created a strong gaming culture, with talent, technology and creativity that can influence innovation far beyond the industry itself.

Whether you’re a student, researcher, founder, designer, developer, artist or simply curious about about gaming innovation, this event is for you. Join us to explore new perspectives, discover how gaming can contribute to a better world, and meet new people.

A light breakfast snack will be served from 08:00!

Discussion topics

  • How gaming technologies can create value beyond entertainment

  • Turning research and emerging technologies into scalable companies

  • Building stronger networks for investment, collaboration and industry growth

Combining expert perspectives, a moderated panel discussion and startup showcases, this session offers an opportunity to discover new ideas, challenge traditional boundaries and meet people working across gaming, technology and innovation.
