The Wendi Miller Legacy Project seeks to archive, contextualize, and celebrate the life and work of an artist and LGBTQIA+ activist who ran a picture frame shop, Miller Frame, for 50 years in historic East Pittsburgh. She turned her shop into a safe and supportive space for herself and for rustbelt transgender diaspora in the 1990s. She served on countless local boards and she helped lay the groundwork for the 1997 City of Pittsburgh ordinance that protected transgender rights to employment and housing. We are working with archivists and historians to immortalize LGBTQIA+ history in Pittsburgh. Help keep her legacy alive by donating!
