Climate Solutions That Work: Modeling and Advocacy with En-ROADS
Meeting global climate targets will require multiple solutions, but how do we know which are most effective?
Join us to learn how to model cross-sector climate solutions and advocate for impactful policy using the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator.
Co-developed by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan, En-ROADS is a global model that focuses on how changes in the energy, economic, and public policy systems could affect greenhouse gas emissions, the climate, biodiversity, and human health.
Sam Wellington (Climate Interactive) and Elaine Salinger (Citizens’ Climate Lobby) will guide the exploration of multiple climate solutions in real-time and discuss policy implications.
In this session, you will:
Participate in an interactive demonstration using the En-ROADS Simulator
Discuss why specific climate solutions are more or less effective
Learn easy, impactful actions that all of us can take
Whether you're new to climate models, work in the climate space, or are a decision-maker looking to understand climate solutions, this workshop is for you. You'll leverage the En-ROADS Simulator to test real-world policies and emerging technologies, challenge your mental models about effective climate action, and gain a deeper understanding of the systems thinking and policy approaches needed to address climate change!
