Robert Sarnie is a Professor of FinTech at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and a seasoned IT executive with over 31 years of experience across accounting, finance, and financial technology.
He played a key role in establishing WPI's FinTech program, making it one of the first universities in the United States to offer Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in FinTech. Throughout his career, Robert has led large-scale technology transformation initiatives across finance, treasury, payroll, procurement, and cloud-based enterprise systems, while mentoring the next generation of fintech leaders.
Passionate about education and innovation, Robert combines deep industry expertise with practical insights to help learners understand how technology is reshaping finance and where the biggest opportunities lie.
