When data learns to listen
In this lunchtime conversation, Emily will invite Andy Sabrina Guerrier to talk about her journey at the fertile intersection of economics, mathematics, art, care and community, and the ancestral memories that guide her.
Andy Sabrina Guerrier is a Fellow with the Brain Climate & Equity Collaborative (Brain‑CE) and Communications Officer for CANSEE. She works at the crossroads of science communication, data governance, and ecological economics. Based in the Ottawa–Gatineau region, she connects Francophone scientific outreach with community‑anchored pathways for translating evidence across economic and health systems. Her found‑object photography explores how ecologies of care emerge through repair, neglect, and adaptation, mirroring her analytical work on the links between ecosystems, economies, and governance. As a Haitian Canadian researcher guided by diasporic memory and a lineage of land‑based livelihoods, she approaches resilience as both method and medium for shaping equitable futures.
