TechMeetup Inverness November 2026
What is TechMeetup?
TechMeetup is a monthly gathering for Scotland’s tech community. It’s a friendly, informal event where anyone interested in technology can meet, learn, and share. Each event includes free drinks, pizza, and time to connect with others. The meetup is organised by volunteers from within the community.
All are welcome! Whether you're a seasoned professional, just tech-curious, or somewhere in between, TechMeetup Inverness is for you.
New to our events? We're glad to have you! Hoping to connect, learn, or share what you know? You're in the right place. Reserve your spot as space is limited.

Adrian Mowat - a hands-on example of Event Modelling and CQRS
Adrian Mowat is the founder of Precision Weave, a Fort William based AI consultancy helping The Highlands small businesses get to grips with AI through, practical, hands-on training and support.
Adrian spent over 26 years in software development building systems and leading teams across the UK and Europe where he was once described as a “Software Swiss Army Knife” - a quote that's equal parts compliment and personal mission statement.
"Most software systems start simple but become increasingly difficult to understand, change, and scale. Even with today's AI tools, complex legacy systems can remain a major challenge.
Event Modelling offers a different approach. It is a visual method for designing software that helps product teams and developers collaborate effectively, creates clear specifications, and maps naturally to CQRS architecture.
The result is systems that are easier to build, easier to scale, easier to maintain, and increasingly well suited to AI-assisted development."
