​A curated phone-free social afternoon for people who love books, coffee, creativity, and real conversation.

​In a world of constant notifications, fast scrolling, and crowded social plans, Unplugged Reading Party offers something rare: a refined pause.

​For one afternoon, we put our phones away, slow down, and return to the simple pleasure of reading, thinking, creating, and meeting people in a calm and natural way.

​Bring a book, journal, notebook, sketchbook, or any offline creative project. We’ll begin with a short arrival moment, then enjoy one hour of quiet reading or creative time together. After that, the space opens for relaxed conversation, optional book sharing, and genuine connection.

​This is not a networking event.
Not a dating event.
Not a self-improvement workshop.

​It is a calm, intentional social ritual for people who want something more human, thoughtful, and present.

​The format

​14:00–14:15 | Arrival, drinks & phone-unplug ritual
14:15–15:15 | Quiet reading, journaling or offline creative time
15:15–16:15 | Relaxed conversation & optional book sharing
16:15–16:30 | Closing

​What to bring

​A book you want to read, a journal, a notebook, or a creative offline activity.

​You may also bring a second book you would be happy to recommend, lend, or swap.

​About the atmosphere

​Places are limited to keep the group warm, calm, and personal.

​You are welcome to come alone. The format is designed to make it feel natural: first we read together, then conversation opens gently.

​The tone is relaxed, respectful, and intentional — no pressure, no forced sharing, no awkward networking.

​About your phone

​During the event, phones can rest in our shared “phone sleeping box” so we can fully enjoy the experience.

If you prefer to keep your phone with you, please switch it off or put it on airplane mode and keep it tucked away, out of sight.

​Venue consumption

​To support the venue hosting us, each participant is kindly asked to order at least one drink or food item, paid individually at the venue.

​You can also join the Unplugged Luxembourg Social Club WhatsApp group to receive updates about this event and future phone-free gatherings: reading parties, walks, hikes, meditation, creative sessions, and real-life social experiences.

​To keep the space calm and useful, the group currently works mainly as an announcement channel. Only admins can post for now.

​From time to time, we may open the chat for introductions, book recommendations, feedback, and ideas for future events.
