ACM's NYCWiC - JOPRO Social

​Join us for an informal social to close out New York Celebration of Women in Computing - NYCWiC 2026, hosted by JOPRO.

​JOPRO is a proud supporter of ACM's NYCWiC (nywic.org). The social takes place at the close of the conference and is open to attendees, alumni, and friends of the community.

​Jes Parent, Director of JOPRO and NYCWiC co-organizer, will be on hand, along with NYCWiC alumni from JOPRO and the Orthogonal Research and Education Laboratory (OREL), and friends from University at Albany (SUNY), RPI, and other local institutions.

​JOPRO has been part of the NYCWiC community for several years. Last year we organized a panel on Careers in Innovation and Research, and have previously presented through our Society Ethics Technology working group. This social is a chance to continue those conversations in a relaxed setting.
