​Welcome to the Lean Canvas Workshop

​​where we’ll explore a structured approach to problem-solving and Idea Validation in product development. You’ll learn how to break down business ideas, identify key assumptions, and validate them effectively using the Lean Canvas framework.

​​Through interactive exercises and discussions, you’ll gain hands-on experience in applying Lean Canvas to real-world challenges. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with practical tools to refine your ideas and drive better product decisions.

​Every last Saturday of the month (except Dec/Jan), people from diverse disciplines meet to networth through a common goal, to learn, get inspired and connect with interesting people.

​The idea is to work on a common practise, that would benefit our community.

​A Product goes through multiple stages.

​One of the critical and important step is to validate your business/product idea.

​This month, Varun Jain will lead this hands-on Validation workshop using Lean Canvas.

• ​​Welcome & Introduction (15 min)

• ​​Intro about the organisers

• ​​Brief overview of the workshop's goals

• ​​Why structured problem-solving is essential in product development

​​Participants' Intros: Role & background and their experience with Lean Canvas (if any). What they expect from the workshop

• ​Breaking Down the Lean Canvas Framework

• ​Why traditional business plans fail startups

​Introduction to Lean Canvas: Key sections and how they fit together

• ​​Common challenges in completing a Lean Canvas

• ​Interactive Lean Canvas Exercise (60 -90 min)

• ​Participants work in teams

• ​Each team picks a business idea (or is assigned one)

​​The facilitator walks through each section, prompting participants to fill in their Lean Canvas.

• ​​Open discussions on assumptions, risks, and techniques.

• ​​Teams refine their canvas based on feedback

• ​Comparing different approaches

• ​Identifying gaps and refining ideas

• ​​Mistakes to avoid when using Lean Canvas.

​Varun is a Senior Product Manager and former founder with deep expertise in taking startups from 0 to 1.

​With over 14 years of experience across industries like logistics, healthcare, e-commerce, HR, and marketing analytics, he specialises in turning ideas into scalable products.
