About Event

H2i invites you to take part in the first H2i Health Founder Essentials workshop of the year!

Join us for an introduction into market research strategies and tools for health startups from University of Toronto Libraries (UTL). This session will briefly introduce market research concepts and methodologies, search elements and strategies, and explore selected databases and other tools and how to access them.

Meet Our Speaker:

Carey Toane is U of T's Entrepreneurship & Applied Research Librarian. She helps U of T students and faculty conduct effective research in applied contexts. In addition to supporting courses and accelerators, she coordinates an open workshop series on Entrepreneurship Research Skills, accredited under the U of T co-curricular record. She manages the 3D technology lab at Gerstein library. Her current research interests include the history of the U of T accelerator network, and the research habits and needs of campus entrepreneurs. Before she was a librarian, Carey worked as a journalist and editor, copywriter and content marketer at magazines, digital agencies and startups in Canada and the Nordic region.

H2i Health Founder Essentials is a public-access workshop series offered by H2i, U of T's health accelerator. The series, a blend of in-person and virtual events, offers entrepreneurial education and networking opportunities around a variety of topics related to health innovation and research commercialization.

H2i is U of T's health innovation accelerator, housed within the Commercialization & Partnerships unit (MedCP) at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
