Staying Resilient During Times of Conflict: Navigating the Workplace During Uncertain Times

Background

The Young People in Payments Committee of the MENA Fintech Association is hosting a virtual fireside chat focused on resilience, wellbeing, and professional growth during periods of uncertainty and crisis.

Recent events in the region have exposed many young professionals to their first experience of navigating geopolitical conflict, economic uncertainty, and rapidly changing workplace dynamics while maintaining their professional responsibilities. As a result, many early-career professionals are grappling with questions around managing stress, maintaining performance, supporting colleagues, and building long-term resilience.

This session aims to create an open and honest discussion around these challenges, bringing together leaders from different professional backgrounds to share personal experiences, practical advice, and lessons learned.

Objective

The session will provide young professionals with:

  • Practical tools for managing uncertainty and maintaining resilience

  • Insights from experienced professionals who have navigated crises throughout their careers

  • Guidance on balancing personal wellbeing with professional responsibilities

  • Strategies for supporting colleagues and teams during difficult periods

  • Confidence to continue developing their careers despite external challenges
