Mind of Nature — Community • Play • Upcycling • Action
Join us for Mind of Nature: Community • Play • Upcycling • Action, an official San Diego Climate Week event uniting the energy of grassroots soccer, circular design, live art, and local environmental action.
Experience interactive zones across the pitch, including a hands-on soccer ball upcycling make-and-take workshop led by slow-fashion artist Lydia Niebla (@lydia_sews_things), a high-energy 1v1 youth futsal tournament, live mural art by Yohana Toledo, an interactive climate commitment action wall, specialty coffee powered by 18 Cities Coffee, and a vibrant market highlighting local food vendors and sustainable creators.
Featured Educational Panel (5:00 PM – 5:50 PM)
Circularity, Athletics & Community Climate Action
Moderated by Jourdan Ziff (Co-Founder, Her Sports — Official Media Partner)

Community Cleat Collective Swap & Drive
Bring a pair of gently used soccer cleats to donate or swap! We are giving athletic footwear another game by collecting, sorting, and recirculating gear straight back into our youth soccer community.
Whether you are stepping onto the pitch to play, creating your own upcycled goods, supporting local sustainable makers, or committing to environmental action, there is a place for everyone here.
