Film Screening with Gadat House

​Shot in 2024 and now internationally nominated, Gadat House is thrilled to invite you to an intimate, exclusive screening of Amalahle: A Vaal Story on 12 October. Presented at Mamakashaka, the project explores the paradox of tradition and modernity through a high-fashion lens, examining the complex relationships between those without and those with, how we define luxury, and how to tell local stories through fashion. For one night only, attendees can explore the garments from the project, learn about the origins of the brand, connect with the cast and crew, and join a post-screening discussion on independent brand building and storytelling.
