As wildfires, floods, extreme heat and drought become more frequent and financially consequential, how—and where—are these risks actually influencing investment decisions?
Where is physical climate risk actually affecting investment decisions today? Are investors changing valuations, asset selection, geographic exposure, insurance assumptions, capex requirements or sector allocations in response to physical climate hazards?
Has physical risk become part of mainstream investment analysis? Is it increasingly embedded in underwriting, portfolio monitoring and risk management or does it still largely sit within sustainability and climate teams?
What gets physical risk onto the executive or board agenda? What evidence, financial impacts, time horizons or real-world events turn physical climate risk from a longer-term concern into something senior decision-makers act on?
