About Event

Circular SoCal convenes leaders across design, manufacturing, development, government, utilities, industry, and community organizations to accelerate the transition toward a regenerative built environment in Southern California. Through a series of expert conversations and collaborative exchange, the event explores how circular economy principles can move from aspiration to implementation across materials, buildings, infrastructure, and policy.

This year’s program focuses on three interconnected scales of transformation.

The day begins with a conversation on circular manufacturing and regional prosperity, examining how Southern California can strengthen local supply chains by reclaiming value from existing materials, investing in workforce development, advancing deconstruction over demolition, and creating pathways through repair, remanufacturing, and reuse.

The discussion then turns to commercial-scale implementation, highlighting organizations delivering circular outcomes today and exploring the business case for circularity through real-world case studies. Panelists will examine financing, risk, insurance, procurement, and the partnerships and enabling ecosystems needed to scale impact—including material reuse networks, marketplaces, and municipal support.

The event concludes with a forward-looking conversation on policy as infrastructure, bringing together public sector leaders to explore how ordinances, incentives, procurement, utilities, and water systems can create the conditions for circular systems to thrive and grow.

Grounded in collaboration and action, Circular SoCal invites participants to connect across sectors, share lessons learned, and help shape a more resilient, equitable, and regenerative future for Southern California.
