Talking Tachles about Moonshots
What would it look like to apply startup thinking not to building a company, but to some of the biggest challenges facing Israel?
For our next Talking Tachles, we are hosting Judah Taub, founder and Managing Partner of Hetz Ventures, for a conversation around his new book, Moonshots for Israel: 12 Big Ideas for a Small Nation.
Drawing on hundreds of conversations with entrepreneurs, military leaders, academics, policymakers and global experts, Judah sets out twelve ambitious but practical ideas that could fundamentally reshape Israel’s future.
This will not be a book presentation. In true Talking Tachles style, we’ll get into the ideas, challenge some of the assumptions behind them, and explore what startup founders, investors and technology leaders can bring to questions normally left to governments and policymakers.

About Judah Taub
Judah is the founder and Managing Partner of Hetz Ventures, an Israeli early-stage venture capital firm. He previously served as an officer in the IDF’s Unit 81, where he received the IDF’s top Creative Thinking Award for developing a new intelligence-gathering method.
He has lectured at Wharton, Yale, Harvard Business School and the IDF, was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2020, and is also the author of How to Move Up When the Only Way is Down.
