Stanford Neurotech Think Tank
Last time, we hosted neuroscientists, engineers, founders, and investors.
This is the think tank that happens after the public neurotech events.
If you are looking for a co-founding team, this is where you’ll meet them.
It’s not a place to get 500+ connections on LinkedIn, or pitching an idea. This is a team of people who support each other to the top.
The ultimate goal is to preserve a 20+ year long relationship with people who make waves in our field. The individuals here specialize in different fields to share information that would otherwise be gate-kept.
We have the culture that predicts founding chemistry the most: by watching how someone thinks when the group pushes on their idea.
What happens:
You bring a question, an idea, or a proposal thats totally crazy and the group supports or pushes you, but never judges.
Why this works:
Co-founder matching fails when it’s transactional, but works when it’s incidental. Thats why a match making app will never work, but a friend group always does.
Who this is for:
Neuroscientists who build. Experts who are bored with the traditional path. Investors who want to be early to something huge. Anyone who is ready to sink their teeth on something new.
if you are exceptional at one thing and obsessed with neurotech, you belong here.
Who this is not for:
The critics. People collecting emails or linkedin connections. Or talkers who don’t take action.
Also, be willing to mentor and be mentored. This is for people with growth mindsets who want to form themselves into a better version.
The format:
A circle sit down by the grass and pool. People may branch off into different conversations based on what peaks their interest.
Let’s see what happens when the right people stay connected.
