Cursor Meetup Budapest
Cursor Budapest: Meetup #2
Let's come together once more before the end of this year! So join us to talk about Cursors advanced features, and have some drinks together. Learn from fellow developers, showcase your best practices, and connect with the Budapest AI dev community.
What's Happening
17:30 - Arrival and registration
18:00 - Intro and Feature lectures: 20-minute talks from advanced users about Cursor features, best practices, based on your feedbacks:
Model Choice
Multi-agent / background agent
Plan Mode & Specs
Best practices for saving tokens
Cursor Rules and Memories
Out of the 5 topics, we will hold the four that generate the most interest, which also depends on how many people volunteer to present on each topic. The final program will be shaped based on speaker sign-ups.
19:30 - Networking & Pizza (with plant based options also)
20:00 - Group photo & closing
Want to share your Cursor skills with others? (optional)
We're looking for community members to give mini talks on specific topics, each one focusing on best practices for one of Cursor’s advanced features.
If you’d like to share your knowledge with the community at the next meetup, choose a topic you would like to give a talk about.
Topics you can pick for mini lecture:
(yes you can pick multiple one but present only one):
Model Choice - Which model to use? Why? When?(inspiration)
Multi-agent / background agents - best practices, when to use and how? When should you not? (inspiration)
Plan mode & Specs - How and why do you writes effective PRD.md-s? How is Plan mode different than writing a good spec.md? (inspiration)
Saving tokens - Techniques and strategies to optimize token usage in your Cursor projects. When does it matter? How to balance cost vs performance? (inspiration)
Rules and Memories - Setting up effective rules and leveraging Cursor's memory features. What works, what doesn't, and how to structure them for maximum productivity? (inspiration)
