About Event

Every field needs a campfire - a place to gather, share stories, and spark new ideas. That’s why the Computer Vision Decoded team is bringing together Pittsburgh’s growing computer vision community for an evening of connection and conversation.

This event's focus is “The Evolution of 3D Reconstruction.” We’ll explore how the field has moved from photogrammetry and Structure from Motion to radiance fields and foundation models. Highlighting real-world applications that are reshaping industries from robotics to logistics.

Whether you're a researcher, engineer, or just 3D-curious, this session is designed to spark ideas, answer questions, and connect local minds working at the edge of computer vision.

🗓 Schedule:

  • 5:00 PM — Doors open, early networking

  • 6:00 PM — Talk: The Evolution of 3D Reconstruction (30 min + Q&A)

  • 6:45 PM – 8:00 PM — Open networking & conversation

Food and drinks provided. Free to attend. All are welcome.
