​Hello everyone!

​We are organising the first IGDA-PT Checkpoint, a simple and informal hangout for the game dev community.

​In games, a checkpoint is a place where we pause, save progress, and keep going. That is the idea here too.

​No talks, no stage, no big programme. Just a relaxed moment to meet other game devs, catch up, talk about games, projects and ideas, and hang out with the community.

​The idea behind IGDA-PT Checkpoint is to have a lightweight format that can happen in different places, such as a bar, a park, a museum, or wherever it makes sense to bring the game dev community together.

​It is not here to replace bigger events or regular meetups. It is just a simple point in between, to keep people connected, keep conversations going, and help the community stay active between bigger moments.

​This first checkpoint will be at Catraio, in Cedofeita, a bar where the community already tends to meet, marking a new point on the IGDA-PT community map.

​The space is open to the public and not reserved exclusively for us, so the idea is to keep this very informal and easy-going.

​Come by, unlock the checkpoint, and help us keep the game dev community connected.
