Talent ~ People | Hackathon 2: Dragon’s Den Edition
🤖 We’re back with the next Talent & People Hackathon - Dragon’s Den edition.
Since the last event in November, the pace of change has been relentless. Tools, expectations, mindset. Most of us have gone from learning, to using, to building in that time.
As Talent leaders in the startup world, the expectations are different. We work for founders who are literally building this stuff. The bar is higher for us than anyone.
So…
We’re building again. Lightweight tools, smarter workflows, small automations that compound over time - anything that makes your work sharper.
At our first hackathon, teams with no technical background built real things in under an hour. People left with something they actually used. And we’re doing it again - this time with more energy, more ideas, and excitingly… with Dragons.
📋 The Plan
This is a hands-on morning hackathon for Talent leaders. You’ll team up, pick a real problem from your day-to-day, and build a lightweight tool or workflow to solve it. No technical skills needed.
We’ll be using no-code tools like Lovable, GPTs, and whatever else gets the job done.
Then at 9.45am, you pitch it - Dragon’s Den style.
⏰ The Format
8:30am - Breakfast and coffee (eat at your desk, laptops open)
8:55am (sharp) - Hackathon begins. Teams form, problems get picked, building starts.
9:50am - Pitch time. Each team presents their build to the judges. Dragon’s Den rules apply.
10:30am - Winners declared and prizegiving
🐉 The Dragons
So far we have James Wright, Head of Talent, Seedcamp and Ben Norton, Ada Ventures. More to follow.
Who’s in the room
~30 early-stage Talent leaders and People leaders from some of Londons best startups - people who work closely with founders, are scaling teams, and are genuinely curious about what AI can do for them.
Spots are limited. If you’re in, grab one soon.
