Computer Vision & Perception Meetup
A technical meetup in Tallinn for people working with computer vision and sensor/perception systems.
Huge thanks to LIFT99 Tallinn for supporting the meetup and providing the venue!
The format is simple: 5-minute lightning talks followed by networking.
Come if you work on, build with, or are curious about computer vision, ML, CV deployment, robotics, cameras, 2D/3D sensors, autonomy, SLAM, embedded vision, sensor fusion, datasets.
Agenda
17:30 — Arrival / networking
18:00 — Welcome
18:05 — Lightning talks
19:00 — Networking
20:00 — Close
Confirmed speakers:
Oleksii Udod — formerly Founding Engineer at Lutso
Mikhail Iljin — Staff ML Engineer at G-Scan
ML for Vision and Sensing in Muon TomographyAndrii Zymohliad — Software Engineer at LightCode Photonics
Indrek Mandre — Principal Software Engineer at Starship Technologies On SLAM: ARAEL optimization framework (Rust crate for building robust and efficient SLAM systems)
Margus Reintam — Senior Software Engineer
Wearable cameras as behavioural analyticsAlireza Akhavi Zadegan — Founder at Embion
A Unified Multimodal Perception Module for Contextual Understanding
If you want to do a lightning talk yourself, please don’t hesitate to contact us at sk2009@gmail.com. The talk should be around 5 minutes, and have 5-10 slides.
Examples of talk topics:
an approach to a computer vision or perception problem
a brief explainer of a domain where you applied computer vision
a useful dataset, tool, or demo
something that worked surprisingly well, or unexpectedly failed in the real world
No need for the talk to be novel or polished — your practical day-to-day work experience is interesting to a wide audience :)
RSVP — seats are limited to keep the event focused and useful.
