About Event

Hey friend, you're invited to join No Drama Drama Club. This is a group for folks who love seeing theatre together and yapping about it afterwards—plus, to keep our community safe it's a mask-required event. Think of this like a book club, but for theatre!

Whether you see every show in the city or haven't seen one before—we'd love to have you along. We'll take care of buying your tickets so you can just book with us and show up.

This event is hosted on the unceded land of the Kulin nations. We pay our respects to their elders past and present. If you’re a settler like us, you should be paying the rent.

P.S. This event is 18+ :)

📢 About the show

Now in its sixth year, Naarm/Melbourne's favourite all-Queer comedy showcase is back! Queerly Beloved features the best LGBTQIA+ acts from Melbourne International Comedy Festival, with past lineups including Rosie Jones, Chloe Petts, Reuben Kaye, Lou Wall and many more!

With a diverse rotating cast of comedians representing the entire spectrum of LGBTQIA+ identities, each show has something for absolutely everyone.

We're super excited to head to see an all queer lineup of comics at Melbourne International Comedy Festival (the world's biggest comedy-only festival).

We're also pumped for this show because the organisers have been very generous in providing us discounted tickets to pass on to you! Please shoot us a message if the discounted price is out of your budget, as the organisers of the show have some free tickets set aside for community members on a budget. :)

⏳ Schedule

  • 9:30pm — We’ll meet you close by (details TBC) for some introductions and to chat about the comedy festival so far! Because the show starts so late, we're front-loading the drama club. Ryan will also have some spare N95 masks if you need one.

  • 10:30pm — We’ll head into the venue to catch the show.

  • 11:30pm — Show finishes and we depart!
