Norvan Falls Trail: The Waterfall Deep-Dive
About the Event
Join me for a classic North Shore trek through the lush forests of Lynn Headwaters Regional Park! We’ll be following the creek-side trails all the way to the base of Norvan Falls, a beautiful 30-metre cascade hidden in the backcountry.
This is a free hike with no charges to join—just a day of exploring together as a group of peers.
Hike Statistics (via AllTrails)
Distance: 14 km round trip.
Elevation Gain: 250 metres.
Duration: Approximately 4–6 hours depending on our pace and how long we spend at the falls.
Difficulty: Moderate. While the trail is mostly flat and well-maintained, the length makes it a solid day of exercise.
Mandatory Gear & Preparation
Food & Water: Bring plenty of high-energy snacks and enough water for at least 5 hours on the trail.
Footwear: Hiking boots or sturdy runners are recommended, as the middle section of the trail can be quite muddy and rooty.
Age Limit: This event is restricted to participants 19+.
Waiver: A signed liability waiver is mandatory for all participants before we begin. Please forward on WhatsApp.
The Game Plan
Meeting point: At the parking, Lynn Headwaters Entrance Parking Lot.
Trail Style: We will start on the wide gravel roads of the Lynn Loop and Cedars Mill trails before the path narrows into a more rugged, mossy forest trail.
The Base: We’ll scramble down to the rocky edge of the creek at the very end to get the best view of the falls and stop for a group snack/lunch.
Waitlist & Approval
Capacity is limited. I will be manually approving requests to keep the group size manageable for the trail.
