About Event

We don't starve today because... Happy Norman Borlaug Day!

Let's eat some bread and toast to Norman Borlaug — honoring the father of the Green Revolution who saved an estimated 245 million lives through high-yield wheat. But Borlaug was far from alone.

Test your knowledge of the scientists, doctors, and unsung heroes behind the greatest life-saving breakthroughs in human history — from the Haber-Bosch fertilizer process (2.3 billion lives) to the mRNA vaccine pioneers, the inventors of CPR, the smallpox eradication team, and more.

Think you know your Jonas Salk from your Albert Sabin? Your Fritz Haber from your Carl Bosch? Come find out.

This is a celebration of what human ingenuity and dedication to impact can actually accomplish and a reminder of why science and global health matter.

All are welcome, whether you're new to EA or a longtime member of the community. We'll have bread!
