Fund It, Fix It, or Kill It: Thiel Fellows Pitch Roast (IRL in SF + Zoom)
βπ₯ Hosted by Thiel Fellows. Every Monday, IRL in SF.
βThis is an in-person event first & Zoom secondarily. 19 seats in the room. That's where you meet the founders and VCs, swap numbers, and make friends who help with your next raise. You'll make more real friends in one night in the room than in a month of Zoom calls. Come in person if you can.
βCan't make it to SF? Watch the roasts live on Zoom, 7:15 to 8:00 PM PT: https://embertechlab.zoom.us/my/dimarc?pwd=3rTdV7YAwbQexaJFmwc42bVQngi2x6.1
βWhat happens
βA few venture-backed founders pitch. A room of Thiel Fellows, YC founders and VCs roasts each one, then votes: fund it, fix it, or kill it. If the room likes a company, we make intros on the spot.
βWe've introduced founders to Sam Altman, Naval Ravikant, Ram Shriram (Google's first investor and board member) and Bryan Johnson. Some of those intros turned into checks.
βOn the grill Nov 9
βKyle Collier, Neobanc. Went from $1M to $5M+ ARR in 90 days
βSigmund Holtz, Yuno Trade. Ex-Binance exec building a prediction market. 4 rounds raised since March
βMore TBA
βWe also introduce the founders in the room to each other. Best way to make new friends and line up allies for your next raise.
βHow it goes
β7:00 doors open, say hi
β7:15 sharp, the roasts start. Online? Drop your roasts in the Zoom chat and we read the best ones out loud
βAfter each pitch the room votes: fund it, fix it, or kill it
βThen founder intros and hanging out (in person only)
βOnly 19 seats in the room. Once they're gone it's the waitlist or Zoom. The SF spot changes weekly and only goes to approved guests.
βWant to be the one getting roasted? Say so when you register.
