She was born amid air raids in western Hunan in 1940. At four months old she was carried over the mountains to Chongqing; as a child she crossed the sea from Shanghai to Taiwan with her family. After university she went to study in the United States, and in 1973 she made Singapore her home.

她把漂泊写进小说，把日子写成散文；半百之年，又把心事交给了歌声。

She wrote her wanderings into fiction and her days into essays. At fifty, she gave her heart to song.

三十五载行云踏歌，斜阳正好，人间可喜。如今，她仍站上舞台，仍在写新书。

Thirty-five years of singing on. The evening light is golden, and life is still a joy. Today she still takes the stage, and she is still writing new books.

嘉宾｜ Speakers

罗伊菲｜华文作家 · 东华音乐协会创办人、首任会长。生于湘西辰溪，长于台湾，求学美国，1973 年定居新加坡。曾在《联合早报》撰写专栏《偶思集》，著有小说、散文与回忆录十余种。1991 年创办东华合唱团，三十五年来推广音乐文化，近年仍登台演出，并在华语音乐剧《再现·歌中情》中亮相。

Luo Yifei | Chinese-language writer; founder and president of the New Horizon Music Society.

Born in Chenxi, Hunan, raised in Taiwan and educated in the United States, she settled in Singapore in 1973. She wrote the long-running column "Ou Si Ji" for Lianhe Zaobao and has published more than ten books of fiction, essays and memoir. In 1991 she founded the choir that grew into the New Horizon Music Society, and has promoted music and culture for thirty-five years. She still performs on stage, most recently in the Chinese musical "Zai Xian · Ge Zhong Qing".

特邀嘉宾｜黎列刚（黎天铭）教授

歌唱家、作曲家、声乐教育家，历任华夏知音协会会长和东华音乐协会艺术总监，指导新加坡多个合唱团，致力于以声乐推动中华音乐文化的国际交流。他带领合唱团多次赴海外演出，曾在布拉格国际合唱比赛中获得银奖。三十五年来，他与伊菲老师一个填词、一个谱曲，是彼此长久的音乐知音。

Special Guest | Prof. Li Liegang (Li Tianming)

Singer, composer and vocal educator. He has served as president of the Huaxia Zhiyin Association and artistic director of the New Horizon Music Society, guides several choirs in Singapore, and is devoted to promoting Chinese music and culture internationally through song. He has taken choirs on many performance tours abroad, winning a silver award at an international choir competition in Prague. For thirty-five years he and Yifei have been musical kindred spirits: she writes the lyrics, he sets them to music.
