Helen Mort: Stepmother
We're delighted to welcome Helen Mort to Leah's Yard for an evening of performance and conversation as part of Leah's Lates.
Helen will be reading from Stepmother — her bold new collection that moves between lyric essay and gothic verse to explore that most maligned of female archetypes. Casting a sharp, tender gaze on fairytale, film, and the shifting terrain of the modern family, it's a book about female power, the fear it provokes, and the surprising shapes love can take.
She'll be in conversation with Sheffield poet Suzannah Evans.
Thursday 2nd July, Leah's Yard, Sheffield. Free / pay what you can.
