Built in Toronto: Inside Sanofi's AI Center of Excellence
What does it actually look like to embed AI into a global biopharma company — across discovery, manufacturing, and patient delivery? Come find out.
Sanofi's Toronto AI Centre of Excellence is one of the most ambitious bets in Canadian tech: a strategic innovation engine co-locating data, AI, scientific, manufacturing, and product teams — all working on problems that scale to 90+ countries. We recently announced a $294M expansion, backed by the Government of Ontario, that will add 50 new high-skilled AI and ML roles by 2028.
At Toronto Tech Week, we're opening the doors to our office in the heart of downtown Toronto.
The evening kicks off with a short keynote from our leadership team, then moves into an open showcase: walk the floor, talk directly with the people building it, and see the actual work in action — including a live demo of different products, from "talk to data" systems for immunology, to AI tools designed to compress R&D timelines at scale.
You'll hear from:
Dimitrije Jankovic — Global Head of Digital Strategy & Operations
Sean Huberman — Head of R&D AI Engineering
Yasmin Zaimi — Global Product Line Owner, AI Workflows
Peyman Passban - Director of ML and Comp biology
Waqas Khan — Data Science Manager
Jasper Lam - Global Product Owner, AI Workflows
& other Sanofians
The format: Keynote → live demos and project booths → open networking. Come with questions. Leave with a real understanding of what AI at scale looks like inside one of the world's leading biopharma companies.
