About Event

Transforming Invasive Species into Sustainable Solutions During International Dark Sky Week.

Ecopreneur Lorena James, founder of Invasive Impact Initiatives, will guide participants through the process of transforming invasive plants into sustainable, upcycled products while discussing the connections between biodiversity loss, light pollution, and conservation.

As we work to restore balance to our landscapes, we’ll also explore how invasive species disrupt natural cycles, including those that affect nocturnal wildlife and the visibility of our night skies. This event, held in honor of International Dark Sky Week, will highlight how regenerative practices like upcycling can contribute to a more sustainable and ecologically harmonious world.

Come ready to learn how to take action for our planet!
