we're hosting a chill little work club for people making things, figuring things out, or just wanting to be around other creative humans. bring your laptop, sketchbook, project, rabbit hole, or unfinished whatever and come make things together.
u also get to help shape the space!! the space is like 75% done. we've got all the shelves and tables, chairs and some furnitures but they are empty. so we're inviting u to come fill it:
bring a sketch, prototype, poster, note, or little piece of something you’re working on / worked on and put in on a shelf, paste it on the walls, maybe even the floor
also if u got extra decors like posters, plants, lamps/lights, novel stuff, sofa throws, random items that look cool, bring em!!
(we'll send u possible placements to put ur stuff once you've registered)
2pm to 230pm - intro of space + how u can be part of it
a short sharing on the vision for the space, what we’re hoping it can become, and the different ways you can be part of it. come hear what we’re building, why it exists, and how u can use the space
230pm to 3pm - announcing winner + give away
everyone gets to pick a cassette from the bag. most are blank. 5 of them has the season 3 theme song hiding inside. we’ll play them one by one until we find it — the 5 who gets the special tapes walk away with $30 in Spacecraft makerspace credits
and ofc everyone still gets to keep their cassette :-)
3pm to 6pm - design ur own cassettes + record mixtapes + social coworking
stick around, design your cassette however you want, record a song onto it, and hang out with everyone else. bring your laptop or project too — basically part cassette-making, part chill social coworking.
we'll have markers, pens and things to mess around. if u wna use the machines like 3d printing/laser-engraving and more — we'll share more how on the day itself
-----> so come join usssss if ure working on ur idea and want space and community to experiment, explore and figure things out without having the pressure to make it work or be practical cause tbh 2am ideas that feel weirdly personal need time and space to grow yknow
what is fireplace
we're a creative movement for people to come alive again.
we’re (trying to) build an ecosystem to fuel people’s ideas esp the ones that are day 0 and “in-the-middle”. like esp also when its at the stage where we're still figuring out what shape it'll take or what it is and we sound a bit crazy weird talking about it
we believe everyone is made for more than the 4 walls the society puts on us. and we’re here to give people a space to dream and create whatever the want to create.
from hosting builder nights, creative sprints and ideas fests for all idea domains, our hope is that by supporting day 0 ideas and passions better — we can rewrite the rules of how we live.
