About Event

Technology is transforming how organisations deliver programmes, engage communities and measure impact. But as AI accelerates this shift, a fundamental question remains: are social-sector organisations ready to leapfrog — and what does meaningful technology and AI readiness actually require?

As part of Asia Impact House 2026, this intimate high-tea session, convened with Project Tech4Dev, will bring together nonprofit leaders, funders, CSR heads, technologists and ecosystem builders to explore how organisations can move beyond technology adoption towards stronger digital strategy, data capabilities, technical talent and responsible AI use.

The conversation will distinguish between where AI is already creating meaningful value for the social sector and where adoption may be premature — while examining what funders and organisations can do differently to make technology a sustainable part of programme delivery rather than an isolated investment.

Discussion Themes

  • Moving from technology procurement to organisational technology readiness.

  • Identifying where AI can deliver immediate, practical value for nonprofits.

  • Understanding the data, people, processes and governance required for responsible AI adoption.

  • Exploring how funders and CSR leaders can make technology and technical capacity more fundable.

  • Learning from organisations that have successfully adopted and scaled technology.

  • Identifying practical steps social-sector organisations can take towards greater digital and AI readiness.

The session will feature a practical, interactive format, combining a myth-versus-reality framing, a live readiness diagnostic and perspectives from nonprofit, funding and technology leaders. The discussion will be followed by curated networking over hi-tea, creating space for deeper connections and potential collaborations.
