A Council of All Beings: Creating Hope with the More-Than-Human World

​Auka! Welcome to A Council of All Beings 🍂.

The Council of All Beings is a practice created by Joanna Macy, a portal rooted in Deep Ecology, bringing together more-than-human voices, powers and sensibilities to the center.

​We are holding this fellow space to build friendship with, across, and beyond separation in Kumeyaay Land.

​We believe we may find in the more-than-human, in the plants, animals, fungi, clouds, rivers, stars, stones, the wet rain, the blowin' wind, the fire, the sea, in old and ancient Earth, wise teachers, agents of change, foretellers of relationship and creators of possibility, that is: hope.

​We are being hosted by the Resilience Satellite Garden of Friendship Park, a small garden, surrounded by native plants, we will play together and nurture our connection with the territory through playful exercises, asking for permission to the guardians of the place, and opening a portal to our hearts and others.

​Bring plenty of water in your termo container, an offering, fruit to share, a hat for the sun, perhaps a chair or a yoga mat if you prefer. We welcome all beings. Bring your heart. Invite a dear friend.
