✨ Join Coolitude Arts Collective for a daytime hang centered around making, arts, and literature in the Indo-Caribbean diaspora. Fall is upon us! Before you get too cozy, we welcome you to come socialize, unwind, and chat about your artistic process. Whether you have attended a Coolitude event in the past year or want to be a new connection, this space is carved out for you. No workshop this time -- just bring yourself and one personal item for a diaspora show-and-tell. (No pressure!)
📝 In observance of Indigenous People's Day on October 12th, we encourage you to reflect on the following discussion questions: What does it mean for diasporas to support indigenous rights and resistance? How is the history of assimilation of immigrants and indigenous people intertwined?

🔤 Coolitude Arts Collective is an Indo-Caribbean community arts organization based in Queens. Our mission is to uplift art-making, literature, and artistic practices within the Indo-Caribbean diaspora across New York City, centered on the neighborhoods of Richmond Hill and South Ozone Park. Founded in 2017 and revitalized in 2025, the collective roots itself in the concept of coolitude, a transnational solidarity and poetics across diasporas descended from Indian indentured labor, as coined by Indo-Mauritian poet Khal Torabully.
