Funding the Nonprofit Movement: Guest Luke Keller of MatchGrant and TekTon Career Training
Funding environmental nonprofits is hard right now.
But I recently met with Luke Keller, whose nonprofit--TekTon Career Training-- "got DOGEd." Not only did he lose direct funding, but the program grants he had counted on he started to lose because the grant environment was more competitive.
So he created a tool called MatchGrant that leveraged AI to be more targeted in finding grants for Tekton.
And it was so helpful that he believed it could help other nonprofits navigate this turbulent time in history.
Just being straightforward with you all: I don't run a nonprofit. I have not used his tools so I don't have the ability to deeply vet this. But I did walk through it and find the strategy compelling and worth sharing.
And even if it's not the tool for you, I think having non-profits gather right now is a good thing.
So, yeah, come hear his story, look at the tool, hear other nonprofits ask questions. I hope it helps. Let me know if it doesn't or if there's something more pressing.
