​A Spring Fragrance Swap & Social

​Join the Virginia Scent Society for an open-air fragrance gathering in the courtyard at Arielle Shoshana. Designed as a relaxed afternoon of scent discovery and conversation, Scents in the Garden brings together perfume lovers of all levels to share bottles, explore new favorites, and connect in a welcoming spring atmosphere.

​Guests are welcome to bring fragrances to swap, sell, or share — or simply attend and explore. A large collection isn’t required; curiosity and an interest in scent are more than enough to enjoy the experience.

​Spring will be in bloom, and we invite guests to lean into the setting. Garden-party and spring-chic attire is encouraged — think light layers, florals, linens, or simply something that feels like the season to you. Dress comfortably, express your style, and help create the atmosphere together while enjoying tea-party-inspired bites and sweets throughout the afternoon.

​Because this is an outdoor event, in the case of severe weather, the gathering will be rescheduled to the first weekend of May. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, a refund will be provided.

• ​Table space to display fragrances (limited; first come, first served)

​Swap Tips & Guidelines

• ​Bring gently used full-size bottles, travel sprays, samples, or decants

• ​Label items clearly when possible

• ​Stay open to discovery — trying something new is part of the experience

• ​Swaps and sales occur at each participant’s discretion; value is determined by those involved

• ​Please use good judgment and be respectful when making transactions

• ​Upon registration, attendees will receive access to a shared spreadsheet where they can optionally list the fragrances they plan to bring, making it easier to preview and coordinate swaps ahead of time.

​All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another guest.
